Greetings from Indiana State University! As we begin the Faculty and Staff Campaign, the Indiana State University Foundation is excited to share with our community an inspirational gift from long-time members of the ISU family.
Drs. Dale and Nancy McKee’s recent commitment to the MARCH ON! Campaign is just one more example of their legacy at Indiana State. For over 30 years Nancy and Dale provided exception leadership at ISU. Nancy made a lasting impression on students at the former College of Nursing as professor, chair of undergraduate nursing studies, associate dean, and interim dean. Dale engaged alumni with the university as director of alumni affairs, executive director and executive vice president of the ISU Foundation, and acting vice president for university advancement.
The McKees’ gift has established the McKee Nursing Center. This innovative initiative will enable nursing students to extend their learning experiences beyond the classroom. By offering students the opportunity to live together in the newly renovated Sandison Hall, their living environment will enhance and compliment their learning environment. The Center, located on the first floor of Sandison, will enrich the academic experience for ISU nursing students by providing a comfortable, convenient area for individual and group study; access to learning tools and resources; improved faculty and student access with an office and meeting space in Sandison, and additional space for professional development opportunities.
The legacy of their decades of work at Indiana State is remarkable and the establishment of the McKee Nursing Center will continue their legacy for generations to come. Their gift serves as an example of how alumni and friends can impact Indiana State students, programs, faculty, and facilities in new and exciting ways.
